Bob Hirshon has the distinction of having said, “I’m Bob Hirshon and this is Science Update” over 4000 times — more than any other human. Hirshon started Science Update in 1988, making him really old. His projects have won numerous awards, including the George Foster Peabody Award, the Codie Award, and a passel of other honors, which Hirshon keeps in a worn but distinctive passel. His original music has been heard on Talk of the Nation: Science Friday and his humor was published in the Harper-Collins book May Contain Nuts.
